Perspective and Perceptions is what I like to explore in my work. My definition of this is how we or some other thing sees the world or themselves. For instance, the world as seen from the distorted perspective of an insect and I think of how do I see the world. Is it from a “distorted” view also that is effected by my point of view. In my work I want the viewer to ask questions on my or others perceptions and end up questioning their own point view of things.

In my paint I try to achieve this by contrasting colors, styles, techniques and the fracturing and bending of forms to pay attention to elements and concepts that I want the viewer to see or start to question their own understanding of what is there. I chose to use the media of painting because of the “creative place” I go to while I produce it. In this place I become very personal with the subjects and ideas that I am painting about and have a deep connection with them and the very paint itself. In this realm of thought I have the power over place, time and lifes circumstances to create or destroy worlds in my own imagination.
